16–20 March 2009, Zacatecas

The first comparative study tour on migration and development was held from 16 to 20 March 2009 in Zacatecas, Mexico. The study tour was designed to draw a comparison between the the United States and Morocco with the European Union. It included visits to communities with high emigration rates, and areas that have experienced return migration nad benefited fro migrants' expenditure and investment in local development.
