German development agency GTZ have recently published a report by IMI researchers Simona Vezzoli and Thomas Lacroix focusing on the diaspora engagement policies of Ghana, India and Serbia

This study examines migrant communities and organisations and explores how  governments in the three countries under study have perceived ‘their’ respective migrants and, more specifically, the way in which these governments have attempted to engage migrants and their organisations in the interest of national development.
