On 23-24 June 2011, members of all eight project teams from seven different countries gathered in Oxford to attend the third EUMAGINE project meeting

EUMAGINE is a two-year collaborative European research project in which IMI is a partner. The aim is to investigate the impact of perceptions of human rights and democracy on migrants’ aspirations and decisions.

The third project meeting looked back at a successful year in which the questionnaire was developed and tested and subsequently 2,000 surveys were collected in each of the four project countries (Senegal, Turkey, Morocco and the Ukraine).

The first analysis of the field work reports and survey data provided valuable lessons for the next phase of data collection: in-depth interviews and expert interviews.
